Sam dressed as a turtle for his first Halloween. He wore it when we went to the pumpkin patch last week. He had a fun time grabbing the pumpkin stems, and we had a better time watching him. Pictures of this are in the "October 2008" folder.
Speaking of orange things, Sam is officially on solid foods, and his current food is carrots. He does a great job of opening his mouth wide for each spoonful. Of course, the food ends up all over everything -- cheeks, nose, hands, bib, neck, clothes, floor. Also, Sam is getting close to crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees, and rocks back and forth. Every once in a while he moves one knee a little forward, then falls flat on his face. He still can't sit up on his own; however, he sits for a second then topples over. Lastly, Sam's second tooth is coming in. Both of his teeth are in the bottom middle.
