Busy Busy Busy

It's been a while since the last post.  We've been really busy with school starting, and all the activities that coincide with the school year.  Plus we had Juliette's 2nd birthday!  Plus Liz and Juliette switched rooms (which involved painting and furniture shopping).  Plus we had to squeeze in all the remaining items from the summer to-do list.

There are lot of new photos in the August and September links to the right.

Juliette was excited to start her birthday celebration with balloons.  She especially loves Dora.  She likes to point to the TV and say, "Dora!", which means "put Dora on the television right now!"
Here's a nice family photo with the birthday girl.
Nadah and Nanah with their granddaughter on her birthday.  Juliette still calls her Nunny, but she's getting close to saying Nanah.

Here's Juliette in her last night in the crib.  The next day we turned the nursery into Liz's new bedroom.  (The attic is storing the crib just in case we ever need it again.)
Juliette's first night in a toddler bed (in a new room) went very well.  It helped that she had her kitty to comfort her.  She fell asleep at her regular time and slept through the night.
A few days after the switch, we found Juliette asleep in this position.  I guess she fell out of the bed, and fell asleep while trying to get back in.  (Keep in mind the lights are off in these pictures.  It just looks like this because of the camera flash.)

One of the big items on the summer list was to visit Dave at work and have lunch with him.  Because we kept procrastinating, we did it on the second-to-last day possible.

The last day of the summer break was used for another summer to-do that we kept delaying.  We went to the Build-A-Bear store, where the kids got to design their own stuffed animals.

Sam's first day of 1st grade!  Nice picture idea, but Melanie got the date wrong.  The real date is 8/25.
Liz's first day of preschool!  She goes half-days, 3 days a week.  Next year, she'll be in Kindergarten!

Sam's first soccer game.  He still working on his skills, but he loves it.  His first question was, "Is this game on TV?"  He was dead serious.
