To Infinity And Beyond!

A few development notes before the pictures:
- Liz said her first sentences yesterday! She said "hi daddy" and "bye mommy"
- Sam recently figured out how to use his toy computer mouse. He's becoming an expert at the maze game. It's only a matter of time before he's into video games.
- Last weekend we walked into Liz's room when she was supposed to be napping. She had taken off all her clothes, including her diaper. And there was a puddle in the middle of her crib.
- When Sam sees something he likes, he now says, "that's cool".

Now onto the pictures...

In early October Melanie drove the children to her brother's. She and Molly took the kids to the Greenville Zoo. Lillian and Liz wore matching dresses.

In mid-October we drove the kids two hours to an apple picking orchard in the mountains. It rained as soon as we got there, and poor Sam was feeling so sick he barely left the wagon. But we still had a good time. Liz especially liked watching her dad jump up to pick apples. She busted out laughing with every leap.

Sam's Buzz Lightyear costume finally came together in late October, when his dad finished his wings on the 29th.
We hosted a mini Trick-or-Treating party with our friends.
Sam: Buzz
Liz: Strawberry
Dave: Woody
Noah: Pirate
Luke: Pirate
Andrea: Noah and Luke's mommy
Ryan: Cowboy
All the kids loved trick or treating, in their own way. Liz didn't know what was going on, but she enjoyed the lollipops; she walked for about 15 minutes, then her mom/dad had to take turns carrying her. Ryan was kind of into it; he lasted about 30 minutes. Sam and Noah ran from house to house for about an hour. Noah made a point to stop at each driveway, draw his sword, and shout something like: "Avast, ye matey!"

In early November, we made Nanah drive four hours so we could celebrate a milestone birthday...
...but it paid off because Melanie surprised her by taking her to see West Side Story.
Sam and Liz waving goodbye to Nanah and Nadah.

There are lots of new pictures in the October and November links to the right.
