Juliette is walking! And running! And getting into all kinds of trouble. We used to be able to hear her shuffling and crawling into a room. But now she sneaks up on us. Here are a few videos of her in action. (She's much lighter on her feet now than in these videos.)
October 10th: Still not quite able to walk on her own
October 28th: Doing a fairly good job of walking around

Sam can now tie his shoes (and count by twos, for all you Franklin fans). After learning, we had to buy him shoes with shoestrings, which is not that easy nowadays. We had to settle for a pair that is a little big, but he doesn't care because he's so proud.
We rode Thomas the Train at a "Day Out with Thomas" event. It was rainy, but the kids had a great time. They even got their picture taken with Sir Topham Hat.

| Hello Thomas |
We celebrated our wedding anniversary by going to the Zac Brown Band concert. We've now been married 7 happy years. Out of 8 total, that's not too bad.
Sam and Liz entered cars in the Awana pinewood Grand Prix. It was a serious/fun event, with very strict rules. Sam and Liz both had fast cars, but they weren't fast enough. Sam did win a trophy (his first trophy!) for 3rd best design, so that was exciting. Yes, Dave is proud because he built the cars. But Sam and Liz picked out the designs and colors on their own. So they get the credit.

We did a challenging corn maze at the Hall Family Farm. It took us an hour and 20 minutes, and we finished in the dark. By then Liz was starting to get scared and Sam was limping dramatically because his legs were too tired to walk.
Halloween was fun. All three kids went down and up our street. Then Juliette went to bed, and Liz decided she'd rather stay home and hand out candy. Liz had a ball sitting in her chair with the candy bowl while Sam trick or treated for another hour or so.

Dave and Sam went to a Charlotte Bobcats game, as part of a work event. It was Sam's first NBA game and he loved it. He rode the train to the game, did the cheers, ate food, danced, and checked in on the score every once in a while. There was even a Michael Jordan siting.

This past Tuesday night, we heard many kids running around and laughing outside. In Charlotte, that can only mean one thing... it was snowing! It has snowed nearly every year we've been here, but it's still treated as a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Everyone rushes outside and plays before it melts. In this case, there was nothing to melt, since we only got flurries for 30 minutes.
Our kids did not go outside, since it was bedtime. But they did run downstairs to check it out. The quote of the year was from a confused Liz, who asked in all seriousness, "Is it Christmas?"
