We had a semi-big birthday party, with friends and relatives coming from all over: Pittsburgh, Greenville, Hilton Head, Waxhaw, and down the street. Juliette loved opening her presents and playing with her new toys (it's hard to peel her away from her new swing), but she unexpectedly had little interest in her cake. The big surprise of the weekend was that when Nunny and Aunt Julie arrived from Pittsburgh, we found cousin Zach hiding in the back seat. We were hoping he would magically show up, and he did! Kind of like Santa Claus. Thanks for coming Zach! We knew you wouldn't pass up a visit to the Tar Heel State.
More pictures of the birthday are in the August link to the right.

| Juliette's first cake was a letdown. She just threw some crumbs on the floor. |
