God Bless Elizabeth

A lot of big things have happened since the last post, especially to our little girl.

First of all, Elizabeth was baptized on September 19 at Light of Christ UMC. It was a nice ceremony, and she behaved great. When the pastor held her out to introduce her to the church, she gave everyone a big smile. Like Sam, she was baptized with water from the Holy Land's River Jordan.
As a bonus to the baptism, we got to spend time with family. Nanah and Nadah came for a few days, and Matt/Molly/Lillian drove up for the big day.

In other Liz news:
She now officially has two teeth.

She is getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth, practicing her creeping*.
*We were told by Nadah that Liz's stomach "army crawl" is actually "crawling". "Creeping" is when you move around on your hands and knees. So I guess Liz has been crawling for a while now, and will soon be creeping.

Liz had her first solid meal on September 14. Rice cereal. Aside from being lost in the chair, she did ok, and even managed to swallow some of the cereal. Melanie said she'll be a quick learner because she's been studying us at our family meals (something Sam never did). Even though she's tiny in that high chair, it's hard to believe how big she is. She's now 6 months old!

As for the rest of us...
Dave and Sam visited our two local fire stations on 9/11, to thank them for doing their job and protecting us. On behalf of Bank of America, they gave the firefighters a care package. Sam was shy and shocked at seeing real fire trucks. But the firemen were great hosts, and three of them took Sam on a tour, showing him the different trucks and equipment.

As promised, here is the video of Sam and Melanie dancing to The Fresh Beat Band's "Great Day". Sam was pretty sick last week and didn't get to watch the show too much. So his timing is a little off.
